Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Panda Contacts application for macOS and iOS and the pandacontacts.com website (together, the “Service”), provided by Yan-David Erlich (“we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The app and your license
Panda Contacts is licensed, not sold, to you for personal use on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies except where these terms provide otherwise.
2. Your Google account
Panda Contacts works with data in your Google Account, accessed through Google's APIs with your consent. You are responsible for your Google Account and for complying with Google's terms of service. We are not affiliated with Google, and the availability of Google's APIs is outside our control. How we handle your Google user data is described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Panda Contacts Pro subscription
- What it is. Panda Contacts Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features (such as calendar context, email timeline, duplicate merge, address autocomplete, map view, and birthday reminders). The core contacts features remain free.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account through the App Store at the price shown at purchase (for example, US $2.99 per month or US $24.99 per year; prices may vary by region and are displayed in the App Store before you buy).
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- One subscription, all your devices. A single Pro subscription covers Panda Contacts on both macOS and iOS under the same Apple Account.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple; refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to reverse-engineer the app except as permitted by law, using the Service to violate others' rights or applicable law, or interfering with the Service's operation.
5. Your data
Your contacts and related data remain yours. The app stores data locally on your devices and in your own Google and Apple accounts; we operate no servers and hold no copy of your data. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your Google account data.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data synchronization will be free of loss — please keep backups.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app and revoking its access to your Google Account. We may suspend or terminate the Service if you materially breach these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at pandacontacts.com/terms.html with its effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
